If we count the bots, which from experience I would say is 5-10% then these numbers are still damn impressive. This is a tracker for SAMP and it shows that the average player count of the less-popular mod averages 20k+ players. The two multiplayer mods, San Andreas Multiplayer(SAMP) and Multi Theft Auto(MTA) are still insanely popular given the dinosaur GTA San Andreas is. The results are surprising to say the least. I decided to dig deeper a bit and see how it stacks up today. I used to play San Andreas Multiplayer almost a decade ago but since then I've long forgotten about it. ![]() Never mind, when I launched the client, it showed hundreds of servers, most of which were still very active and it honestly made me think what the fuck and how is this still a thing. Well it's not magic but it launched because the actual game is very small in size and it was directed to a exe in the same folder. ![]() So, I was browsing an old folder of mine which contained old game shortcuts that I used to play and I clicked on SAMP and it magically launched.
